This weeks personal study schedule

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
- Romans 12:2a

Sacrifice is the true measure of generosity.

bulletTheme For This Week's Readings

God calls for faithfulness to the Word both by those who proclaim it and by those who receive it.

THE FIRST LESSON: Jeremiah 23:1-6
God has stern words for those who are unfaithful in their shepherd calling. At the same time, he also promises to raise up faithful shepherds who lead God’s people to the LORD Our Righteousness.

THE PSALM OF THE DAY: Psalm 23
The beloved “Shepherd’s Psalm” instills within us a quiet trust and calming confidence.

THE SECOND LESSON: Ephesians 2:13-22
Jesus Christ is the foundation upon which the church is built, and in which it finds unity and peace.

THE GOSPEL LESSON: Mark 6:30-34
In his compassion, Jesus sent the Twelve to minister; in his compassion, Jesus expressed concern for their respite; and in his compassion, Jesus met the spiritual needs of the crowd with his teaching. Ours is a compassionate Savior!
